Slurry explosives or water gel constitute of Ammonium nitrate and fuel which are produced in
cartridges. These are very much used in open-cast mining. Zambia has one of the largest open pits in Africa for instance,
Nkana open pit situated at Nkana mine, Nchanga Mines, and Kansanshi Copper Mine which are one of the biggest producers of
copper around Africa.
Slurry Explosive products are great while working on blaster shooting because of its efficiency in cutting the rocks.
Site mixed slurry explosives (SMS) are high performance booster sensitive explosives that all intermediate ingredients are brought to the field pump to sensitize the emulsion and to form explosive when the mixture gets loaded in the bore hole.The Explosive is not in the cartridge form. The components of the explosive are carried in liquid form in different compartments of the pump truck from suppliers plant to the mine. These are specially formulated to match specific blasting requirements and are mainly used in open cast mining.

Cap Sensitive explosives are powerful primers for initiating all Non-Cap Sensitive explosives. They act as excellent primers for Ideal Gel slurry explosives / Ideal Super Column / Ideal Column charges in Hard Rock formations. Due to its sticking properties and ease of cutting, it is commonly used for blaster shooting.
Ideal Boost Cap sensitive explosives find application in open cast mining and quarrying for Large Diameter Hole Blasting. It acts as an excellent booster for Ideal Gel slurry explosives / Ideal Super Column / Ideal Column, used as bottom charge for removal of toe in Hard Rock formation.
Ideal Gel slurry explosives finds application as Base / Column charges, for blasting in rough hard rock formations in over burden and open cast mining,
construction work and quarrying.
Ideal Column also finds application in as Column charges in all types of Formations.
