Instantaneous Electric Detonators offers a reliable means of controlled, simultaneous initiation of explosive charge. These are
manufactured in No.8 strength in Aluminum shells. The shells are fitted with electrical Fuse Heads. Precise consistency of the unique design
of the Fuse Head is maintained by a fully automated process. PVC coated leg wires are sleeved through a PVC plug and crimped to the
Detonator to ensure protection against moisture and water. The leg wires are water proof, ruggedly abrasion resistant, easy to strip and
handle. The bare ends of the leg wires shunted for protection against stray currents.

Packing:
25 Detonators are made into a bundle and two such bundles (50 No.s) are wrapped in kraft paper to make it into a packet. 30 such packets will be
placed in a corrugated card board box.
Applications:
The Aluminum Super Electric Detonators can be used in quarrying, opencast, boulder blasting, nongassy underground mines and many
other types of blastings. Instantaneous Electric Detonators in alluminum shell have wide range of applications in quarrying, opencast and
underground non-gassy mine.
Precautions:
DO(s)
- Make sure that all connections are made with clean bare wire ends and if necessary freshly expose bare wire.
- Make sure thatthe bare ends do not come in contact with any conductors such as power lines, pipes, rails or other paths of stray current.
- Make sure that the shotfiring cable is connected to the exploder just before firing the shot and is immediately disconnected after the shot is fired. The exploder key must always be in the possession of the blaster and not kept on the machine.
- Ensure that the exploder used is of adequate capacity and the current is of the desired magnitude for full initiation of the round.
- Check the circuit for continuity before firing the shots. This must be done using only “BLASTERS” ohm-meter..
DONT(s)
- Do not untwist the shunted ends of leg wires until just before connections are made.
- Do not carry out shot firing in outside work area when an electrical storm is raging. Induced currents may set of sensitive detonators.
- Do not connect detonators of different manufactures or firing characteristics in the same circuit/series.
- Do not connect more detonators in one round than the capacity of the exploder.
