Ideal Detonators Pvt. Ltd., manufacturers the Non Electric Initiating device SRIDET which combines the versatility and advantages of Electric detonators and fuse.
SRIDET basically consists of a plastic tube carrying a very small quantity of explosive material on its inner surface crimped with a Delay Detonator shell. The Delay Detonator shell consists of 70cgs of PETN making it No. 8 strength along with the initiating primary charges ASA and the required delay element.
When the Shock Tube initiated, a low order shock wave with a velocity of 1900meters/sec passes through the tube and initiates the Delay
Detonator. The traveling shock wave is totally confined to the inner walls of the shock tube and no damage happens to the tube. The shock
tube can be initiated either with a Detonator or with Detonating fuse.

The unique features of the SRIDET are
